Our History
Based in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, Strataglass, LLC is the industry leader in clear marine enclosure materials and has set the standard for more than 30 years. From the beginning, our focus has been simple: deliver exceptional clarity, long-term durability, and reliable performance in the harshest marine environments.
Introduced in 1994, Strataglass is the premium clear vinyl sheet trusted by leading boat builders, OEMs, and fabricators worldwide. It features VueShield™, a highly engineered scratch-resistant coating technology that helps keep windows looking clear and clean longer. Strataglass is designed to resist the damaging effects of the sun’s rays, environmental fallout, and scratching from normal use. It also blocks nearly 100% of UV light, helping protect interiors, extend the life of surrounding materials, and enhance comfort on board.
As customer needs evolved, we expanded our portfolio. In 2000, Strataglass, LLC introduced CrystalClear, an uncoated clear vinyl that delivers the same consistent quality and optical clarity our customers expect, with the flexibility to meet specific fabrication and price-point requirements. Today, both Strataglass and CrystalClear are used by a wide range of OEM suppliers, boat builders, canvas and awning shops, and other industries that rely on high-performance clear vinyl products for demanding applications.
In 2015, Herculite Products Inc. announced the acquisition of Strataglass LLC. This acquisition brought together two proven leaders in performance textiles and clear vinyl technology. It strengthened the Strataglass brand, positioned it for continued innovation and growth, and united our shared heritage of iconic, American-made products. Backed by Herculite’s resources and expertise, we offer world-class customer service, legendary on-time delivery performance, and strong technical support—ensuring fabricators and OEMs get the right solution when and where they need it.
